It is record label Hed Kandi who took care of that surprise publishing double compilation "Hed Kandi: Back To Love". Many from the artists who can be found on that compilation was reaching the top of US club list. Now time for more details.
As the first Californian vocalist Martha Wash in "Carry On". Saying about her achievements impressive is not enough. The success came to her after taking part in The Weather Girls duet.
It is she, who bestowed voice in Black Box group "Everybody Everybody" record or "Gonna Make You Sweat" - C & C Music Factory. The "Carry On" record on 5.12.1992 reached the top of US club list.
Next dancing floors masters are Kenny Dope and Louie Vega known as Masters At Work. Those two gentlemen together with Latin vocalist India and the record "I Can't Get No Sleep" reigned in USA in May 1993.
Vocal talent, of mentioned above Puertoricanian - India, was sought by River Ocean formation. They succeeded on a club scene with only one record "Love & Happiness"(#1 at US Club 7.05.1994).
Very effectively, for 3 weeks on a leader chair behind the ocean stayed Ruffneck. With Dwayne Richardson, Derek Jenkins, Stephen Wilson and the vocalist Joanne "Yavahn" Thomas, record "Everybody Be Somebody" was based on sample "Bostich" of Yello duet.
It was impossible to lack, among so many house classics, S.O.U.L. S.Y.S.T.E.M. project. Authors: David Cole and Robert Clivilles are known as well as C & C Music Factory.
"It's Gonna Be A Lovely Day" sung by Michelle Visage turned out on a soundtrack to "The Bodyguard" movie. In the last week of 1992 was on the 1st place at the US club list. Barbara Tucker is an icon of a club scene.
Between 1994 and 2000 she was five times at the 1st place of US dancing hit list. Inter alia with "I Get Lifted"(1994) composition. Born in Chicago, state Illinois, Shawn Christopher with "Don't Lose The Magic" in March 1992 for 2 weeks stayed the leader of US Club list.
The second part of "Hed Kandi: Back To Love 2007" is a continuation of club hits from the first part. It begun with Fire Island duet, that is Pete Heller and Terry Farley from New York.
Also from New York came Frankie Knuckles. Producer and remixer of records (among others) for Chaka Khan or Pet Shop Boys. For the 1st time at the US dancing hit list, his surname appeared in 1989 - Frankie Knuckles presents Satoshi Tomie - "Tears".
That is exactly the record that can be found on "Back To Love 2007"compilation.
The next New Yorker in the 2nd part is George Morel - "Let's Groove"(1996.). Musician, producer and author of many remixes in house style, garage house or progressive house.
Among others Mark Davis - "You're Special, Thompson Twins - "Come Inside", Joi Cardwell - "Love And Devotion", Sin With Sebastian - "Shut Up (And Sleep With Me)".
Straight from the British Isles at the US club list got C.J.Bolland (rightly- Christopher Jay Bolland). The record "Sugar Is Sweeter" (#1 at US Club in 1996) you will hear in Armanda Van Heldena remix.
The next female house star is Judy Cheeks from Miami. The "Reach" record (1994) is her showpiece.
The last two records on the discussed album are: duet Orbital created by brothers Phil and Paul Hartnolli from London and SSR formation -"To Be House".
"Hed Kandi: Back To Love 2007" can not escape our notice. It is full of house classics from 90ties, that every DJ should have in his box. Recommended!!!
